Living Room Reveal

I had the pleasure of working with the nicest couple helping them furnish their new living room.  The room had a nice foundation with a bound sisal rug and textured blinds.  We started by painting the walls Benjamin Moore Papaya #957 and used Kentucky Haze #AC-16 on back of the bookcases.  Once that was complete new furniture from Ethan Allen completed the room.  It's hard to say what I love most about the space, but I do think the Baldwin chairs look stunning in our Mazy Red fabric! The living room glows now with soft shades of cream, red and blue.

2015 Color of the Year

Benjamin Moore has announced the 2015 Color of the Year.  Guilford Green, described by Benjamin Moore "is a silvery green that compliments both modern and traditional styles in a seamless manner." Greens for the last several years have trended more to the yellows than the blues, think more citrusy, less sagey.  I like the calming nature of Guilford Green.  It's soothing on walls and pairs well with blues and natural elements like jute and sisal. This fresh trend can be used as an overall wall color, ceiling color or the pop of color in your room. Take a look at the photos below that highlight this hue, as well as other similar shades of green.

Love the similar shade used on the ceilings by JS Interiors

Not sure of the color used here, but Guilford Green would be awesome on
kitchen cabinets.
